Lincoln City Supporters’ Trust is again the sponsor of the Trust Suite at Sincil Bank and a cheque for £7,500 for the 2009/10 season was presented at half time during the recent Notts County game.
Chair of the Trust, Lissie Wilkins, said, “It was decided to sponsor the Trust Suite as this is the main bar for you, our fans. One of the most visible signs of the support that the Trust gives to the football club is our sponsorship of the Trust Suite and we are delighted to be continuing this for the 2009/10 season.
Lissie continued by saying, “In recent years the facilities in the Trust Suite have been improved and prior to any home match the room is a hive of activity with supporters catching up with friends, watching live football on Sky and meeting fans from the day’s opponents. The announcement of the teams is followed by an auction with signed shirts, footballs, photographs and other memorabilia being auctioned to raise funds for the Trust. Our sponsorship has been crucial in upgrading the facilities in the Trust Suite making it much more interesting as a venue that anyone can hire for all types of occasions, generating further income for the football club”.
This sponsorship is in addition to our existing deals – the shirts for one of our junior teams, Andy Hutchinson, and through the Goal, Nathan Adams. By giving money to the Club in this way, more money can then be released into the playing budget.
